Josh Park is a first generation Korean-American cinematographer based in Los Angeles, CA.
Josh Park is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer with roots in South Korea and a career built across two continents.
He began through calligraphy and drawing, relocated to the U.S., and traded a career in real estate for cinematography; studying at California State University, Long Beach. His narrative debut, Jake and Joan, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014.
Park shoots across formats - narrative, commercial, documentary, and music video - with a visual language defined by controlled light, intentional camera movement, and a frame that never competes with its subject. His documentary and commercial work in professional eSports earned a 2019 Sports Emmy Award, making history as the first eSports project recognized in that category.
Fluent in both Korean and American visual culture, he has become a trusted collaborator for K-pop productions seen by millions worldwide; a cross-cultural fluency that sets his eye apart.
Park believes the cinematographer's job is to build an environment so deliberate that performance can breathe. He's drawn to projects where light, movement, and timing have to land at once and where the pressure of that demands precision.
Based in Los Angeles. Available internationally.
